A collection of short stories

I'm in the process of writing some short stories and I want a place to keep them! So, I am going to post them here on this blog. Yes, this very blog!
This is the first one I wrote, Sarah P. asked me to write a story about the sisterhood of the owl pin (which is me, Emily, Sarah, and Katie P.) This is that story.

The sisterhood of the Owl
There are countless legends and myths that speak of the four mysterious maidens that formed the sisterhood of the Owl. To record them all would be futile so i will relay the beginning of the sisterhood. One foggy evening four maidens met at an intersection of a road. They were each coming from a different direction, North-east, South-East, South-West, and North-West. Coming upon one another each maiden noticed a fine quality in the other. The maiden from the North-East saw at once that the maiden from the South-East was a very good speaker, she was at that moment giving a traveler directions and encouragement in a very eloquent manner. When she was done the maiden from the South-East noticed that the maiden from the South-West was very observant, She had quickly stumbled to a stop so a family of ants could cross the road in front of her. After the maiden from the South-West collected herself she turned to the maiden from the North-West and observed her gently set down dozens of bags that she had been holding tightly in her arms. Each bag was full of gifts made by the maidens own hands. Once the maiden from the North-West placed the last bag on the ground she looked to the maiden from the North-East and thought, "That one perseveres." She came to this conclusion when she saw the tattered shoes that told of the very long journey the maiden from the North-East had made.
"Sisters! I can see we all have wonderful qualities, let us join together and go out and serve our countrymen. Each of us using our strength and relying on one another for the qualities we lack." Declared the maiden from the South-East.
And so the four traveling maidens came together on a common path to go and serve their countrymen. They quickly became known as the sisterhood of the Owl for their unique and individual traits.
The maiden from the South-East was the beak because of her girl of speech and encouragement.
The maiden from the South-West was the eyes because she was always quick to notice someone in need.
The maiden from the North-West was the wings (or arms) because she was always reaching out to others.
The maiden from the North-East was the feet because she would always push on and persevere to reach the next person in need.
And that is how the sisterhood of the Owl came about. As for their adventures, well, that is another story.
The End.
